E2 Services were tasked with carrying out the full Supply, Installation and Commissioning of a Trend Controls System for the 8-storey ENI Basingstoke Office Block.
The building is split in to two sections, Tower and Podium, each with two AHUs. An East and West AHU for each section provides tempered fresh air to the building sections, while a locally-controlled VRV system controls the floor temperature for the client’s employees. The AHU’s use a heat-exchanger on the extract duct to recycle heat generated by the VRV system to supply fresh air at 18°C.
Using Synapsys interfaces all the information from the Daikin VRV system is relayed to the Trend 963 head end PC server version ensuring that anyone in the building can dial in to the system and take control. All floor plans are clearly laid out enabling the user to see relevant temperatures and monitor any issues at a glance. The Trend 963 software also provides email or SMS alarm information for rapid response.
The project has brought about refreshed office space with better climate control overall, with fresh tempered air supplied by AHUs with a local VRV system controlling the temperature in an energy-efficient way.
"E2 Services work hard to build and maintain working relationships. We have worked with Sykes & Sons for several years and this helps the projects we work on together to run smoothly and efficiently. This in turn provides a better service for the client and ultimately the projects have an increased chance of finishing on time and within budget. ENI was a fine example of this and E2 Services look forward to the next project."
