E2 Services first started to work with Force India on electricity procurement in the summer of 2010, following our involvement on various energy savings projects at their Silverstone base. We are delighted to have enjoyed an on going relationship since. Whilst electricity is not the fuel you immediately associate with Formula One, some of the processes in the team are electricity intensive – wind tunnel testing, for example. The cost of power, as well as engineering solutions to reduce consumption, is crucial to the business.
Over the last six years, we have placed contracts for the main Silverstone and Brackley supplies with a value in excess of £2,500,000. Whilst wholesale fluctuations mean that prices secured have gone up and down, annual renewals have never been in excess of 3% up on the 2010 contract and the average cost out to 2018 is 4% lower than the original.
Force India’s success continues to grown in the F1 World Championship and E2 Services is proud to be a long standing energy partner.
