Automated Monitoring & Targeting
In order to control energy use, you must be able to accurately measure it. This cannot be done effectively through traditional supplier invoices, due to the use of estimated monthly data. Automated Energy Monitoring & Targeting (aM&T) has developed extensively over the past few years, in response to Government Legislation to roll out Half Hourly (HH) metering. Commonly known as aM&T, E2 are at the forefront of this technology and specialise in helping clients to implement low cost aM&T solutions.
Our approach to aM&T projects is as follows:
- Understand clients aM&T requirements – in order to:
- Save energy
- Generate formal returns (Display Energy Certificates)
- Comply with Government Legislation
- Undertake detailed site surveys to examine whether existing meters/loggers can be re-used within an automated system
- Specify a low-cost aM&T solution
- Project manage aM&T installation
- Oversee system commissioning to include:
- Calibration check of meter points/communications checking
- Establish exception reporting
- Provide end user training
E2 firmly believe good aM&T systems should pay for themselves instantly, by:
- Focussing resources on the areas where savings can be obtained
- Allowing reactive maintenance to take place
- Allowing saving projects to be tracked accurately – ensuring savings are achieved
Gywn Hicks – Financial Director at Crown Golf:
"Installing an aM&T system made us realise our overnight electricity usage was too high. E2 analysed the data & identified the heating system controls needed re-commissioning. This simple measure has now reduced our overnight usage by 54%"
