E2's three amigos join forces

Monday 28th November 2016

The times they are a changin’ at our Worcester office, and we’re currently in the final stages of amalgamating three original departments into one. Those departments are aM&T, Bureau and Compliance.

On the surface, these three departments looked pretty diverse. Certainly they incorporated different people with different skill sets, and completely different professional lexicons. DC/DA, CCA and CoT, for example, each mean something to one team but not necessarily a great deal to the others. To look at how the teams fitted together, it was necessary to look beyond the day to day functions and to the wider purpose of the respective operations. aM&T is all about accuracy of measurement; our Bureau services are all about ensuring accuracy of invoices and tenant recharges; Compliance is all about helping our clients follow the letter of the regs.

As you’ll see from our website, Energy Services forms a third of E2’s service offering. The other two offerings in that Holy trinity of Total Energy Management are Procurement and Controls & Projects. It’s at that level the unifying factor behind the join-up becomes clear. When it comes to energy and energy spend, Procurement is about getting it cheaper, and Controls is about getting it reduced. What of Energy Services? Energy Services is about getting it right.

Is your business on track to hit its energy saving targets? How much will you spend on energy for FY16/17? Have those plant improvements you invested in paid for themselves yet? These are all crucial questions that cannot be answered with certainty unless the data underpinning the answers is correct.
